Meet Simone
Simone Thomas is a Principal Solicitor and Director who joined Lamrocks Solicitors in early 2008 as a senior solicitor of the Family Law team.
After starting her career working for a large, well-known, commercial law firm in the Sydney CBD, Simone soon realised that her interest lay in helping families through the difficult process of separation and divorce. She eventually left the city to focus on family law and returned to the Hawkesbury-Nepean region where she grew up and has spent the last 17 years helping couples and families to resolve their family law disputes in the most effective way possible.
You’re in good hands...
As well as being a qualified family lawyer, Simone is also a talented mediator and accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She works closely with families to try and identify the important issues and helps them to resolve disputes quickly and effectively, without the need to attend Court. In fact, one of the things that Simone finds most rewarding about working in this field is being able to help couples make informed decisions about their future and agree on the outcome of a dispute themselves.
Simone is also a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer and provides advice in relation to the process of Collaborative Family Law and guides client's through this alternative method of resolving Family Law Matters.
If a solution cannot be reached through mediation and negotiation, Simone is an experienced and determined litigator who can successfully represent her clients’ interests in Court proceedings in both the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court.
Proud to be local
Having grown up and gone to school in the Penrith area, Simone has strong ties to the local community and is proud of Lamrock's long tradition of providing legal advice and support to local families, individuals and businesses for over 135 years. Outside of work hours, Simone is kept busy raising her three young children and enjoys hiking, gardening and supporting her children in their many academic and sporting activties.
